The Mesabi Range College (MRC) formerly Mesabi Range Community and Technical College is a two-year college with campuses in Eveleth and Virginia, Minnesota, United States. Students in the Virginia High School and other neighboring school districts can receive college credits also by taking classes there.
MRC offers an A.A. Degree as well as numerous technical programs such as: Industrial Mechanical Technology (Millwright), Welding, Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education, Welding, Practical Nursing, Graphic Design Media, and more.
MRC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. The college has opportunities for both men and women as well as intramural activities. The athletic teams include: men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, football, baseball, softball, trap shooting, and volleyball.
History
Mesabi Range College -
Previously, the school was named Mesabi Range Community and Technical College but underwent a name change in January 2014. It is named for the Mesabi Range, an iron-ore deposit in Minnesota's Iron Range where the campuses are located.
Accreditation
Mesabi Range College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
